Some of the most personal artifacts Alan Jackson will be on display during a special exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. Opening August 29, "Alan Jackson: 25 Years of Keeping It Country" will chronicle the fourth race of the century the country traditionalist as well as key moments of his upbringing in Newnan, Georgia.
Among the highlights are handwritten on the successes of Jackson "lyrics Livin 'On Love" and "Where Were You (When the world stopped turning)," Harley-Davidson on the cover of the album a lot about livin' (and a bit 'Bout Love), Jackson waterskiing in the wet and wild video for "Chattahoochee," bicycle Jackson's childhood and several awards. "Alan Jackson: 25 Years of Keeping It Country," the name of a favorite saying of Jackson - who once recorded a guitar with the words "Keep it Country" George Jones - is set to run through March 2015.
The Grammy-winning songwriter was also named the Music Hall of Fame Artist-in-Residence 2014 Country With that honor, Jackson performed intimate concerts with the Hall of Fame this fall. Artists in Residence have included former Ricky Skaggs, Kenny Rogers, Kris Kristofferson and Vince Gill. Honor Jackson, however, will be the first time an artist-in-residence has had a corresponding exhibition opened in the Hall of Fame.
